Breaking the food jinx

I had a feeling I was overeating these days (because I was overeating), so this weekend I tried an experiment.

I lived on three things:

1) Fruit juice (sugarless at night and with sugar in afternoon)
2) Bitter guard chips (pAvakkai) (100 gms of it over the weekend). You get interesting things here!
3) Ground nut smoothie (Sadhguru's recipe)
[Day 1 - ground nuts soaked overnight mashed up with nendram bananas and honey
Day 2 - ground nuts soaked overnight mashed up with nendram bananas, honey, dates syrup and sprouted greens]

Should say it worked very well for the following reasons:

1) No trace of hunger in the intermediate periods
2) Obviously felt light!

Only problem was that it is not setting Shoonya conditions properly :)

I have some nutrition veterans* I should get in touch with to customize this. Obviously this is not going to be a daily affair, but it is awesome for doing a "reset".

Greattttt going! Very simple procedures everyday can give you a LOT of nutrition. I wonder why you guys don't follow them. You should be the first to adopt simple things for your own temple.

Green moong sprouts and soaked groundnuts with bananas. Wonderful! Raw sprouts and groundnuts have the HIGHEST source of plant protein. 23gms of protein/100gms! And raw groundnuts have such wonderful good fats for the body.

Another thing to add. Maybe next month so that its not too much change/work at once:
Carrot and/or Beetroots. Grate, salt, pepper, lemon juice(Daily Vit-C) Raw coconut - very important full to micro-minerals.

Fruit juice. Why fruit juice instead of the fruit? Would be great if you can stay away from packaged ones.* My mouth waters at the thought of any raw fruit. Yummo!

Sathumavu with jaggery! How can miss on "the life nourisher" for breakfast or dinner!
White sugar spikes your blood sugar level like crazy. If you can have jaggery syrup or date syrup, that would be better.

I am chanting "Daily, Daily, Daily".

* Bad for the environment, local market. Unnecessary processing. Missing out on vital fiber, ingredients.

Akka,
The "asterisk" identifying itself :) :)
But seriously, thanks for the inputs!

White sugar - as long as your "valve" is good, I am guessing its fine? I am also hoping all the practices strengthen the valve!

Packed juice - easy on the work :). By environment, I assume you mean the packaging? Local market - yes! Fiber - yes! But nothing wrong with the juice itself. Sugarless juice was (is) my *healthiest* food item for a loong time!

Aah, caution about wet food that comes in a package. I don't "buy" the sugarless label. But I suppose its a step towards consuming fruits, its ok. The thing is, the fiber and juice are one whole unit and they complement each other in nourishing the body. It is just incomplete otherwise.

"White double refined and pure sugar" is a health hazard, esp for children. The substitute saccharine is even worse.

Anyway, about the sprouts. Only green moong sprouts (served at initiation day) can be eaten raw. Horse gram (Kollu), Karamani, chickpeas, brown chana are available as sprouted in most places but have to be cooked.
