Only a fledgling...

"Wise leader, forgive me. I am only a fledgling new to flight. "

- Koro (from Whalerider)
A very touching quote - which shows a lot of humility. I think the word humility has become misunderstood to mean forced modesty. True humility is the absence of doership. At least, as in this case, a deep realization to see what others have to offer irrespective of who they are. Really, it's OK to be a fledgling. The journey to be a Jonathan Livingston is an 'in progress task' for most of us. The destination is inevitable, provided we have the courage and humility that it takes for the journey.
